Modeling and Simulation

The objective is to group the investigations related to the microscopic, stochastic or statistical models, applicable in the air and / or water environment compartments. It is a line with strong interdisciplinary appeal involving physics, mathematics, chemistry, microbiology and computation. This line also covers masters and doctoral projects involving simulations of complex systems, such as: modeling of microclimate in controlled environment aiming to increase productivity of plant species, development of models for dispersion of pollutants and evolution of the pen in water bodies; study of the absorption of pollutants in nanostructured materials, design of scenarios to study environmental impacts, planning and optimization of operations, processes and physical and chemical systems and analysis and study of fluid transport.
